Day 1 - 3/28/11 - "And They're Off!" (We’re in Topsail, NC for the night)


We did it! We ran away from home - or rather we drove away with tears in our eyes and hearts. Even the day was sad - it was cloudy and rainy and cold. There is so much we will miss about each of the people who have touched our lives in North Carolina but the chance to be closer to our family calls us to move on.
We got a late start due to many factors and have traveled only as far Topsail Beach.

We had a great pizza and a glass of wine for dinner and have just now settled into our cozy camper for the night. 
This place had the most cars so we stopped here.
We will drive another 4 or 5 hours tomorrow and get almost to GA. It was nice to talk to you Brian, Libby and Peg. Love to all and of course as always I wish you Shalom, Heather . . .

    This is so neat. This is the first comment I write down this morning. Been to gym - Sport Center, and made me think about meeting with Davis one morning - that was the last day Cooks in NC. We will miss Cooks. Heather & Davis, we can't wait to see you till next Jan. But wish you travel safe, and enjoy your trip. I will keep my interest on this blog. Love,
