Today was 277 miles northwest, one of our longer days driving, and closer to home. We have so far not paid over $4.29 for diesel fuel (and I think that was in Pennsylvania). Today is was $4.13, but we’ve been told that the price will probably go up as we go north up the coast.
Now which one are we suppose to be on?
[I have some random pictures left over from yesterday so if they seem out of place . . . well they are!]
Snow melt - it will eventually find its way to the Pacific Ocean if it's not used to water some fields.
Artists in great numbers - impressive.
Just a beautiful sight (site).
What a cute guy!
That water is soooo cold.
This rock fell and broke in this most unusual shape.
We are crossing the California valley again, from east to west ( through Sacramento)
and are now in the Coastal range of mountains at a huge lake, Clear Lake, the largest (and oldest) natural lake in the US of A.

It’s raining, blowing and the temperature is 57 degrees, but the guy beside us says it should be sunny and 85 degrees... Well, we’ve had a great variety of weather (most of it just grand) on this trip so we can’t complain about a little rain (Precious gets upset because she can’t go out but, oh well, there’s always tomorrow girl friend.)
Tomorrow we may start our journey up Hwy 101 all the way to home (expect to arrive Friday 6/10/11. So we’ll have coastal pictures all the way up.
Home roasted fresh veggies and tacos for dinner tonight with our movie.
