June 27 - 28, 2011 - "It's Beginning To Come To Together"

Utility room, cabinets across from washer & dryer.
The first of the cabinets arrived today!  Things are coming right along.  I wonder if we'll miss  showering and peeing in 19 feet 'cause it won't be long before we're inside (at least for those things).

I think we won't miss it much! And only one more visit to the laundromat!!  Awesome!

Master bathrooom.
What a beautiful day it has been today.  We started out with a gentle drizzle and ended with a beautiful sunshiny day.  It doesn't get much better than this!

Davis and I re-picked out some of the tiles and counters that had been discontinued (note: the problems with the economy are the pits for a lot of folks) from the ones we picked out last February.  We also made some decisions (with LOTS of help from Tom, Jim, Kim and Darren) about the fireplace and the guest bath (you know, the one you'll use when you visit; there are still a few openings).
Because these were dried in the back yard on a
non windy day we can call them "gnaty pine"
instead of knotty pine - Tom says it's OK to have
a few gnats in your ceiling.  Hummm!

The veranda (once my least favorite part of the house, now one of my favorite) is beginning to come together, oh my.  Those are some of the pine boards Davis polyurethaned (I for one am  impressed).
The insulation is in place.

The rest of the boards will go on the sunroom ceiling and that's not long now!

Our truck now has Oregon plates on it - one in front and one on back.  That was an experience!

Thanks for keeping in touch - especially Cora and Bob (stop by any time to see the  progress) and Ed, (prayers for continued health).

That looks like the Spruce Goose to me; whadya think?
There's part of our "cleanup crew."
Tonight the sky and the birds put on a real show for us.  We settled in after soup and salad for dinner and will say a prayer for good health and happiness for everyone, especially our

new grandchild and the mother and father of that new life.

Love and hugs to all . . . Shalom,  Heather . . .
