June 9, 2011 - First Day At "Casa del Norte"

I've been doing the Blog for so long I just don't know when to quit!
Oh, yes - I can see it!!!

This poor tree just woke up from sleeping on its
side and is now having a bad hair day.
I guess I should call this "Day 1" but that could apply to every day.

We both slept well and woke up cheerful!  Showers in the Airstream are so very nice.

They'll soon be mowed over, but what a delight to find a carpet
of yellow and orange poppies all over the back yard!  If you'd
like a pressed one just e-mail and I'll snail-mail you one in the
next week or so after I've pressed them.
I've been 64 for over 24 hours now (I was born at 2am - sorry 'bout that Mum) and you know it's not so bad if you take it one day at a time; however, if you think in years at a time then the new wrinkle, sag or pain becomes very noticeable.  I've decided to think in days instead of years.
I've got a beakful, but I sure would love to put
yellow flower in my nest.

Life is like that - always under constructions -
somewhere!
These are signs we will be glad not to see -
for a while

Busy day today with "down town" visits to gas company, bank, car dealership (probably the bank again), the DMV, and calls to WOW (Western Oregon Waste), Insurance peeps, the grass cutter (our John Deere is in the PODS) and the fence guy.

You never know what's around the bend, up the hill, through the fog.

Shalom,  Heather . . .
