Day 13 - Some Times it is Hard to Say “Good-by” so We Just Say, “See Ya”

Here is my first recipe from the road - Zip Lock Omelet:  whip up an egg or two (whites only if you’re watching cholesterol) pour it into a quart-size, freezer quality ziplock bag.  Add any chopped veggies (peppers, onion, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc) you like and any kind of grated cheese.  Zip up tight, place in boiling water for about 14 minutes; open and dump on plate; voila -  instant omelet!  If you use paper plates, plastic cups and forks you have zero clean up!  This recipe is courtesy of our new friends in the Winston-Salem Air Stream Group that adopted us for 2 days (hope we run into each other again).
Amazing things done with Airstreams!
Work in progress

With this group of Air Streamers we visited an Air Stream custom modifier and fixer-upper for a tour and lunch.  Wow, all the things that they have done.
Can you believe this is in a "trailer?" Wow
I could live permanently in one of those things - and some the folks we are camping with do just that!  Amazing.

We stopped by the Apple Store toget some technical advice

Carol and I catching each other up.
She was one of my bride's maids and
a really great friend growing up.
and then on to Apex to visit my friend Carol and her husband, Dave.  We don’t get to see each other often but when we get together we just pick up where we left off and catch each other up.  Carol and I grew up together in the church and did so many things together.  Take care of each other, you two.
Art and Jan - they put us up some times
and always put up with us!
After a little shopping we visited our dear friends, Jan and Art Ross.  Davis and Jan shared UNC basketball tickets and a true love of all things Tar Heel.  We will miss you two, but Davis will especially miss those special times together.  Looking forward to a trip with you next Fall.
Rain again this evening so it’s an early evening in and a quiet game of Bananagrams.  Davis is so patient with me; he is not much for word games but he plays to please me; what a guy!
Special hey to Judy - I miss you and I need a trim!  You always make me look so good!  And to Cora in Amity - a faithful commenter and soon to be neighbor (with a well stocked wine cellar I might add!!!!).  Hey also to Susie and Dick; Dick the fellow in a small store around Jordan Lake sends you regards and remembers the great shows you held in the Armory - says they were the best.
Chilly tonight; will sleep under an extra blanket; Richmond here we come tomorrow (Davis and I grew up there so we have many friends and relatives to visit the next 2 or 3 days).
Shalom, Heather . . .
