Day 32 - Nothing Like a Good Book . . .

Looking forward to trying it all!

Oh my goodness it’s cold this morning!  Thank goodness for heated bathrooms/showers!  Ahhhh.  We are here until Sunday morning and then we move Southwest.  Hope we don’t hit any of the very disastrous weather that has hit the south and east.  Oh, my.

We are having an easy day today.  Spent the morning doing bookkeeping (this is the only word in the English language with three double letters in a row) and answering e-mails and doing some bill paying.
Not our healthiest meal, but oh my, how delicious!
Went to the local mall for lunch and just to walk around where it wasn’t so wet and cold.  Barnes and Nobles had just the answers for those cold wet evenings.  Davis has
started as new trilogy and I
found a new puzzle book.

I have no idea where to put your bed, Precious.
How in the world did Lewis and Clarke do it without Malls and radiators?

Don't need you - we have good old GPS!
How did I forget to tell you about the toll roads to get here!  It cost us $2.25 per major toll booth as we went through Chicago for a total of $18.60.  I won’t have minded except that the roads were atrocious!  Everything in the Bambi had to be put back in place.

I pity the sucker who isn't us tonight!
We went to the local family-owned grocery for dinner fixing; I did some more wash and Davis and Precious hunkered down in the Airstream.

I know it seems I’m doing a lot of wash, but with three different temperature zones, four different time zones and various social obligations but only 19' it is a challenge.

It was nice to talk to you Libby (says Davis); hope the storms didn’t treat you badly.  Albert, you’re a great friend; we appreciate your extra trouble.

Now for some more random pictures:

This is where you can get off the road without getting off the toll road
and go get something to eat or just pee.

That's the last of it, Ann.  Now what do I do?

This is a retirement um, box.  Oh my.

They're advertising Shrimp!

Goodnight all.
Shalom,  Heather . . .
