Day 5 - 4/1/11 - "Gray Skies Are Gonna Clear Up, Put On a Happy Face!" (We are in sunny Port Charlotte, FL)

I love having you all along for the ride with us!!  I may have to set aside more time to answer all the e-mails so forgive me if I delay answering.

We finally ran out of rain this morning in Ocala.  We packed up our soggy towels and our grassy mats and headed to Port Charlotte.  We actually got hot along with way!  Yeah - that's what I'm talking about after so much rain!  The traffic going North was unreal - bumper to bumper for miles and miles.  I'm just glad we are in the Southbound lanes.  But I think the first of April must be their leaving time.

One of our first jobs was finding a post office to mail signed forms to our friend and financial adviser, John.  The closest one was called "Going Postal"; I wasn't sure I was in the right place with a name like that!  Hope it reaches you, John.

Not sure the name is politicly correct, but cute anyway!
When we arrived at the campsite I spread the towels out and within 20 minutes they were dry - the sun is very intense here today.  This is a community of folks who came for a short visit, fell in love with the place and bought a lot to use for the Winter months;  folks from all over the North come here and remeet each year - I love it!

The friends we made in Israel in 1995 and 1998, the Jansens, came to predinner with us tonight (see picture) with their sweet dog, Bogie (can you tell they play golf?).  What fun to catch up on good times.  They moved here years ago from Harrisburg, PA.  Tomorrow I will try to take and send a picture of their house with it's screened in pool outside the Nano doors that extend the pool into their living room (you have to see it to appreciate).
Only the shadow knows!
I'm weary and it's dark outside which means mosquitoes so I'm signing off for tonight.

Sleep well and Shalom all,  Heather . . .
