Day 62 - 5/28/11 - “Everyone Should Believe In Something; I Believe I’ll Have a Glass of Wine.” (quote seen on a hand towel), (Paso Robles, CA again tonight)

This beauty goes on for miles and miles . .
. . . . and miles.
This has got to be one of the most beautiful places we’ve seen.  The rolling hills with its many shades of green and gold, the trees and vinyards, the unexpected rocks, the weather, the perfect humidity . . . .
I could go on, but . . why; you’ve got the idea!

If we had to move somewhere else for any reason this area would be high on our list.

Hey Earl, we have directions!  (Earl is my "little"
brother who lives in Australia and my maiden name
was Arvin)
Every kind of artist you can imagine.

Today we went to the local Arts' Fair in Paso Robles' town center.  Artists of all types were there celebrating.

Play it!

Sing it!

He makes these instruments and sells his
CDs at fairs.

Creating right before our eyes!

Can't wait to get it home!

We found a trio of small water color paintings we loved and bought.

I found vases and bowls and mirrors and jewelry that I loved, but didn’t buy.

Crystals form on the surface
giving each pieces its own
unique design - it was love
at first, second and third
sight for me.
How precious!

This is so cool!  That is the artist in the
mirror.  I was just trying to take a picture
of his work and his card.  I'm goin' to have
him do a mirror for our new home.

So much talent it made my head swim.

We HAD to have a glass of local wine, didn't we?

We spent the afternoon at a local winery; we had planned to do more than one, however. . . . we both realized we needed down time from the first and decided to do another, another day.

We had to try and buy - it was so much fun~

There are flowers everywhere to attract the bees.

I forgot to mention that we passed the 9,000 mile mark as we passed through Bakersfield, CA, yesterday.  We are getting a bit homesick.

Several folks were dressed up and walking around
with frames - cute!

Poor kid!  I just wanted to take a picture of his
tee shirt - I think I scared him!

Leftovers for dinner (our favorite meal!) and some quiet reading.
Shalom,  Heather . . .

I never thought about using Falcons to keep the
birds from eating the grapes and blueberries!

What a beautiful girl you are!
What a handsome guy!

We sold my car before we left so I'll need a new
one when we get to Amity.  I can't decide between
this one or . . . .

. . . this one!

If only the sign hadn't said for kids under 8yr old.  I'd be
there in a heart beat!!
