6/15- 20/11 - " If It Weren't For Paperwork, There'd Be No Work At All"

Sorry for being absent for so long, but a lot as happened and continues to happen.  Also, this Internet connection is off more than it is on, thus the multiple day entries.
Our current dinning room!

Soon to be our "veranda."  ; )

We have entertained out the back (on the sawhorses and plyboard) but have not taken pictures of each event; we just enjoyed the company.

Saturday, after a flooded shower, we headed out to pick up the 3 toilets and two sinks.

On the way back we decided
to stop in a local winery
Oyster Farm.
that was having an oyster roast.  Quite different from eastern North Carolina's

roasts (and at a different time of year).

They also had a different type of clam chowder (that's the 4th type - New England, Manhattan, Carter County and now Northwestern).  Everything was delicious.

That's Katherine on the right - she's the
one who adopts the unwanted animals, sews
some of the aprons (the rest are donated),
paints the painting, writes and illustrates
the books and bakes the pie - whew.
found a variety of
Some of the aprons on the line.  (Pictures of the
ones I bought later - after I've given one of
them to  . . . someone special.
unwanted, old, sick or neglected animals; donkeys (some the size of a large dog), goats, cats and dogs.

and the kids were hugging them!
She is an artist, poet and illustrator; he is a landscaper.  What a delightful experience; I bought 2 aprons, 2 books, a card and some lavender (I forgot to mention they grow a LOT of lavender); oh but the pies were to die for!

Then wine in our back yard with our new neighbor friends Cora (faithful blog follower) and Bob.  What a wonderful day.
Studying for the test.

Hauling the hay.

Davis and I are very nervous tonight - we take the written test tomorrow

to get driving licenses.  There are some significant differences between OR and NC!  Oh, my.
And also tomorrow I plan to buy some baby yarn and start knitting - something!

We are enjoying watching this home grow; the guest room will be ready for your visit in about 2 months - start making reservations now!
Shalom,  Heather . . .
