Day 69 6/4/11 "It's Been An Interesting Day At the Beach, I Mean The Lake" - (Still in Nice, California)

View out our back window.  That's quite a large
lake we are on.  The waves are large enough to
surf on . . .almost.

Well, we stayed put today.  We woke up this morning to rain and a lot of wind, kinda like a Nor’easter on the east coast, only here the wind was from the southeast.
Davis took a nap.

I tried to work on the Blog.

Precious kept my feet warm.

We are on the east side of a strong low pressure system off the California coast, a very rare occurrence here in June.

We decided not to fight the wind and get wet hooking up and then settling in somewhere else with the same wind and rain.

We drove 15 miles to the local Kmart to get a prescription filled and bought some supplies and back here to relax for the afternoon.
We have a site right by the lake and it would be wonderful to sit there and look over the water.  Oh well...
Oh my!

By the way, we passed the 10,000 mile mark this afternoon.  I figure we’ll have another 600 to 1000 miles to go before home at the end of the week.  Note that the mileage is all inclusive, side trips and all.  We have the mileage from point to point on the trailer, which is probably 1500 miles less, but we’ll have to add that up by hand.  The truck mileage is kept by the GPS.
You'd think this was salt water!!  It's right beside
out camp site on the lake.
See ya on the road again tomorrow!
Shalom,  Davis . . .
