Talk about "hands-on" - we have handled each board at least 7 times!
Lavender was everywhere and it smelled so good! This is a lavender still which results in the oil and something called lavender water.
What a lovely day for a festival - music, food, plants, oil, crafts, the works!
We couldn't resist her work. She presses flowers from her yard between two panes of glass and the results . . . well lets just say we bought 3 of her works!
Then it was off to McMinnville's Turkey Rama. It was similar to a North Carolina Pig Pickin' except there was Turkey instead of Pig; and a little like the Sea Food Festival with all the booth's . . .
Mile after mile of nothin' but turkey - oh my!
You could find just about anything you wanted and a lot you didn't need.
Here's the cutie I won at the animal shelter booth.
Nice crowd! I think the whole town came out.
That's our contractor in the dark pink shirt and clam digger shorts. The gal in the pink boot was turning 50 - going on 18!!
Thursday there was the book signing for a local writer and of course the Saturday Farmers Market. Whew!
Master bedroom sconce.
The house is coming together. We (mostly Davis) have finished all the trim work and the electrician has worked on the lighting.
Kitchen cans.
One sconce from living to kitchen.
Hallway sconces.
Entrance light (I love this shell lamp).
First view of Precious' fence.
Sky lights for the front entrance.
Finished sunroom ceiling.
The tile work begins on Monday and then the cabinets for the kitchen on Thursday. All the solar tubes on in and the sky lights have been installed in the front porch. My head is spinning with all this activity!
Sunday (today) the USA women's soccer team was defeated by Japan. (We went into a sports bar in Portland to see game - Brian was there and we loved being with him but missed his sweet wife - hope you feel better.) But, you know, with all the devastation Japan has gone through and the way they really worked for this - they deserve this one bright light in their lives. Shalom , Japan. . . (those who know what that means will agree).
Night all and Shalom to each and every one. Heather and Davis . . .
What a busy couple of weeks you two have been having! You have time for fun too! Great Job!
