Day 14 - You Can Never Go Back Home Again - Except for a Visit, Unless . . . . !

Davis - still in our cozy bed this morning.
Yes, he eats and sleeps UNC!
As you can see, I'm not the only one to stay in bed late some days!!  We really have enjoyed the company of the Air Stream Club from Winston-Salem area.   We participated in their Sunday morning worship service and said our good-byes.

Now I remember why we moved to a dirt road
far, far from a big city.

Bumper-tobumper is NEVER any fun!

We are in Richmond this pm. with plans to visit with very special friends we "grew-up with" and drive by former homes.  We are having lunch on Tuesday with the person responsible for Davis and I meeting.  Thank you for that very special day almost 44 years ago, Chou-Chou.  (Pictures will have to wait until Tuesday).  We are hoping to connect with other friends who as yet have not returned our calls.  Come on you guys; how much time can you be spending with grandchildren!!

Tomorrow we will be taking Davis' mom's ashes to the church she loved, near Chester, VA, where her sister and daughter have been in the garden for some years.  Yes, there are some of us who can come home to stay.

Home sweet 14th night home.
KOA between Richmondand Ashland.
We did some wash and settled in for the night amidst dozens of "snow birds" flying North for the summer from Florida.  We feel very, very small next to all these "Gray Hound Buses."

Shalom,  Heather . . .
