Day 33 - (sing this one) “The Itsy Bitsy Spider . . . Out Came the Sun and Dried Up All the Rain and . . . . “

Now that's what I'm talking about!
After a day of “popsicle toes” we awoke to a glorious, warm, sunny day.  We opened up everything to dry out.  What a wonderful feeling and what a nice break; tomorrow we will have temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s with rain.  Oh, well, at least it won’t be cold and rainy.
It's tight, but we manage.
I spent my morning redoing the closets, straightening all the baskets and washing the counters and floors.  Then I did something I haven’t done in years - I defrosted the little freezer above the little refrigerator.
Now you can see why we only plan
our meals a day ahead!

It was such a beautiful day that after Davis got back from running, we had lunch outside on the picnic table, and even though we both had on sunscreen we both got a little red in the face!

A little wine before dinner - ahh!
Bill and Caroline Mallatt are
Margaret's parents.
This evening we enjoyed a wine tasting at the Mallatt’s Pharmacy and Costumes and then a delicious fish dinner at the Quivey’s Grove restaurant.  This is a very old farm house turned restaurant - small rooms, quilts on the wall and worn hard wood floors - the works!
They have everything here at Mallatt's you need
for any kind of dress-up you can
imagine!  Wow - what a fun place!
Back home to a cozy, warm casita.  Tomorrow we tour Madison.  Night all.

Shalom,  Heather . . .

  1. Hey Ma & Pa! So glad to hear (and see) the trip to Madison went well. Mom the pics are great! Margaret and I are just thrilled for you guys and are loving your blog. We noticed that it's hard to determine where you are at any given day. Could you maybe note where you are next to the header date for the day?

Love you both and can't wait to have you hear. Looking forward to tomorrows post!
